While many mythologies, folklores and legends have similarities that overlap, taking inspirations from those from previous generations. What makes them all so interesting, is that many aspects are so incomparable. We go on new adventures every time we explore tales from cultures around the globe, constantly learning something new. There is one entity however, that remains consistent throughout. In the west, it is often depicted as a hooded figure wielding a scythe, sometimes on a horse, based on the biblical rendition. Whereas in different regions, this being is vastly different. Is it an evil force? Or is it just playing its role in the greater picture that is life, ensuring balance remains as it should? #death #grimreaper #mythology
