Ninhursag – The Mother Goddess of Mesopotamian Mythology | Pantheon Mythology
A Mesopotamian goddess who started out as a city goddess, before levelling up to become goddess of fertility and later, mother goddess to all of Sumer. A beacon of hope, who’s role while prominent, was often overshadowed by other deities in the Mesopotamian Pantheon. None the less, however, according to Sumerian folklore, we wouldn’t be here without her. #ninhursag #mesopotamia #mythology
