Who was King Leonidas, The Legendary King of Sparta?

Many of you may know of King Leonidas from 300, the bloody excellent film where he was portrayed by the rippling physique of Mr Gerard Butler. But did you know that Leonidas was in fact a real person? And although the movie strayed quite a bit from the facts, King Leo and the battle against the Persian invasion is very much based on true events. #kingleonidas #300 #greekmythology
